great katie!
i think we should start up the tlsp game thread! -
oh, it already here XD
nice -
ok so this made me kind-of upset.
i was reading this nme article a little while ago from july.
this part got to me a little:
"They decided to bring the sessions forward after being inspired when they all met up at Glastonbury festival a few weeks ago (June 27-29)."
http://www.nme.com/news/arctic-monkeys/38130
so what they're saying (and be warned i am going to interpret this how i want) is that they weren't going to record for who knows how long and they haven't really seen each other for a while. they needed to see each other (and they did randomly at a festival) to be inspired to record.
this just makes me a little sad. -

yeah, like they weren't in touch or something ?
like they need to be around each other to feel like they're in a band ?
that confuses me slightly, of course alex is going off doing his own thing but they're all such good, close knit friends. it doesnt make sense.
admittedly they'd need time apart but this... -

Well, it says "bring the sessions forward".
Like they had a set date and time they were all going to meet up again with their ideas and what not, but then unexpectedly they meet again and spill out all their ideas jumbled in their pretty little brains--making them want to record at a closer date.
Sounds like a good thing to me. -

The Virgins are on Conan tonight!!!
yes. -
it's good that they were hanging around together in glasto.
and i don't think it was like ,"hey mate, how's your wife doing?i have some tunes, i'
ll drop by the bar later!"
maybe this whole festival atmosphere reminded them the previous months.
they got tired, no doupt, but it's nice playing music with friends. -

The questionnaires teachers pass out to their students to fill out are pretty ridiculous.
1. How often do you read?
2. Are you sexually active?
3. What's your favorite animal?
I get the whole reading part, but the rest.. seems like what a doctor should ask, and what a zookeeper should ask. I mean, does it really matter if I prefer llamas to zebras? No, not really. -
this questionnaire made my day
it's completly ridiculous
"i'm sexually active and i like racoons"
"i'm not sexually active and i like racoons"
a teacher can tell a lot by reading these answers -

or "i am just as sexually active as a racoon."
so what do i hope for? a week spent looking a dvds and cds.
a primary school that means i've just gotta cross the road to get there.
or a hairdressers.
hmm. -
for everyone it's pretty much the same, rachei

that's clever, they've put quite an awkward question inbetween two perfectly average questions. cunning
yes, ahoy there captain obvious, i know!
i don't like tea but i'd drink it if he made it. -

we never get such handy time wasters like that.
we get stuff like "how can we make the school better" and shite like that.
there's no point in them giving them to us because they don't even act on it! -
"how can we make the school better" it's so much better than the "what's the shape of your hand " question i had to answer the first day i entered high school
